Don Bahr, SVP, Casualty Reinsurance
Donald W. Bahr serves as a Senior Vice President overseeing the Company’s professional liability treaty reinsurance business.
Alterra Reinsurance USA, Inc. is a company renamed from Harbor Point Reinsurance US, Inc., following the merger of Max Capital and Harbor Point in May 2010. Don joined Max Bermuda in 2003, and was with Transatlantic Reinsurance Company from 1998-2003, where he served as a Vice President and Manager of Professional Liability Treaty and Facultative Operations. Previous to Transatlantic, Don held professional liability underwriting and management positions with RLI Insurance Company, Continental Insurance Company and Cincinnati Financial Corporation.
Don holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business from Miami University-Oxford, Ohio and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University-Los Angeles, California.
