Max Capital Group Names Susan Spivak Bernstein Senior Vice President, Investor Relations
February 3, 2009
HAMILTON, Bermuda--(BUSINESS WIRE)--
Max Capital Group Ltd. (NASDAQ: MXGL; BSX: MXGL BH) ("Max Capital" or
the "Company") today announced the appointment of Susan Spivak Bernstein
as Senior Vice President for Investor Relations. Ms. Spivak has twenty
years of experience covering property and casualty insurance and
reinsurance companies working as a sell-side equity research analyst,
most recently as Senior Equity Research Analyst with Wachovia Securities.
Before joining Wachovia in 2002, Ms. Spivak was Senior Non-life
Insurance Equities Research Analyst with ABN AMRO. She previously served
as Vice President, Equities Research Analyst with Donaldson, Lufkin &
Jenrette and as Equities Research Associate with First Boston
Corporation. Ms. Spivak has been providing Bermuda insurance market
research to investors since the early 1990s.
W. Marston (Marty) Becker, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Max
Capital, said: "Susan is a valuable addition to our team. She has a
wealth of experience in our marketplace and important relationships with
institutional investors. Susan is already very familiar with Max, having
covered our company as a sell-side analyst for several years, and we
expect that she will strongly contribute to our investor relations
capabilities. In her new role, Susan will assume certain duties
previously performed by Jim Tees. We regret that, after many years of
dedicated service, Jim will be leaving the Company in order to be with
his family in the U.S. and to seek a senior financial position there."
Ms. Spivak is a 1988 graduate of the University of Michigan. She is an
officer and past president of the Association of Insurance and Financial
Analysts.
Max Capital Group Ltd., through its operating subsidiaries, provides
